Tolkien Computer and Video Games 2nd Period

This is a look at the 2nd period of Tolkien Computer/Arcade Games. It is not a strict chronological listing and follows on directly from the early period.

There are a lot of very minor cover variations of these releases in other countries which I have not included here as they are covered in the linked websites.

The MobyGames website has some great details for all these games, especially about releases in other countries.

Melbourne House (UK) / Addison-Wesley (US)

The Adventurer magazine has a some excellent details on the history of this game:

Lord of the Rings: Game One

there were 2 publications of this, by Melbourne House and on licence by Guild Publishing, the packaging for both is slightly different
