There is a fine line between Toy Figures and Toy Soldiers, I see it that toy soldiers are of a 3in scale size, realistic (as opposed to cartoon or cute) and with little or no articulation.

These are from the Hobbit movies. The first series was released in 2012 for the Unexpected Journey movie. There are 18 figures in gold, silver and bronze variations. The second series came out in 2013 for the movie The Desolation of Smaug and is just reproductions of 12 of the first series figures (11 in a brighter silver colour and a clear version of Bilbo). They all have pegs in their feet which attach to tall stands. The figures range from around 50mm to 70mm. These were not released in the USA (in the USA the blind bags used Heroclix figures).

These promo figures from Burger King were only available in the UK (the US had a totally different promotion. Each figure came with a film slide and there were 3 different slides available for each figure giving a total of 27 different slides.
