This, in theory, is a smaller area of Tolkien collecting, however it is bigger than you would expect.
The http://www.tolkien-music.com website is a brilliant website which covers everything Tolkien music related overall, although you have to hunt around to find the vinyl only items. Warning - it does not include re-issue or additional limited edition releases, so some vinyl items can be missed if not originally produced in vinyl.
There are a lot of very obscure bands which have Tolkien themed albums or songs, most of these are either sixties psychodelia or heavy metal and a lot are from European bands.
There are also a lot of bands which are named after Tolkien (The Hobbits, Gandalf etc), but which don't have tolkien themed albums or songs.

Rarely-seen original private pressing on the composer's own label of this minimalist work of endlessly cascading piano notes inspired by J.R.R. Tolkien's Lord Of The Rings (Galadriel being the sacred queen of the Elven-folk). Melnyk performs the piece using his Continuous Mode technique, in which he attains a meditative state and plays 39 notes per second (Melnyk actually holds the record for being the fastest piano player in the world). "Melnyk creates a symphony of sound that seems to swell organically out of the piano itself. One gradually forgets about the musician playing, one feels rather that a magic instrument is singing, of its own will, a melody of mysterious eloquence..." Includes original printed inner sleeve with score excerpt.
